Description
As the holidays approach, nothing better to treat yourself than a good Saint-Émilion-Grand-Cru success !
Our opinion : A 2015 vintage to remember this excellent year in Bordeaux.
A very successful wine, already visible by its deep ruby color. On the nose, it presents aromas very pleasant red fruits.
The palate is light, accompanied by tannins. We can feel the red fruits. This is balanced and very harmonious. Perfect for holiday meals.

Château du Rocher is one of the oldest wines of Saint Etienne de Lisse. The peculiarity of this estate lies in the succession of the owners, which has always been made by descent or alliance.
The Rocher family, who owned the Château in the 15th century, handed over the property in 1731 to the house of Grailly, by the marriage of their only daughter. After the Revolution, the estate passed to the Monteil family, and then to the Grateloups, from which the current owners come.
Almost all of the area of the estate is devoted to the vineyard. The property has been certified in organic farming since 2012.
The Saint-Émilion-Grand-Cru appellation has been recognized since 1954 and covers the same appellation area as that of Saint-Émilion. It is located in the Libournais vineyard, one of the subdivisions of the Bordeaux vineyard.
The difference between the two AOCs from the Saint-Émilion region is linked to yield and aging: a yield limited to 40 hl / ha and compulsory 12-month aging.
