Description
Wine for Sunday lunch!
Around a full table, it will be the wine to unclog to please everyone world! Very tasty and gourmand, it also has elegant tannins.
Our opinion: The Wine of the Month and Eric strongly invite you to taste this “1950” vintage. His nose is expressive and intense. It is completed by a round and delicious mouth blending notes of raspberry jam, alcoholic fruit, violet and licorice. The tannins are present, but very pleasant, even elegant! It’s a modern wine.

For 3 generations, in the Domaine des Pradels Quartironi, we practice the profession of winegrower on a current area of 16 hectares. The estate, in Organic Agriculture, is located in the Saint-Chinian appellation (Languedoc Roussillon or rather Occitanie).
Nestled in the hamlet of Priou, the hillside vines overlook the Saint-Chinian valley. This shale terroir at 300 m altitude, facing due south and south-east on arid land with low yields, benefits from an exceptional location, which promotes the development of subtle aromas and the freshness so characteristic of wines. The vines are surrounded by woods of holm oaks, arbutus, pines, some chestnut trees, heather, cistus, cades, junipers, thyms, and other aromatic plants, inhabited by many insects and birds. That makes it a rich and beautiful biodiversity.
The vineyards on the hillsides require a lot of manual work, including the harvest, which is still entirely manual at the Domaine.
The AOC Saint-Chinian is located near the town of Saint-Chinian, between Béziers and Saint-Pons-de-Thomières and covers an area of 3,300 hectares producing mainly red and rosé wines.
The terroir is divided into two sectors by the courses of the Orb and Vernazobre: in the north the shales and sandstones dominate, in the south they are clay-limestone soils which are the most present. The grape varieties are dominated by Syrah, Grenache noir and Mourvèdre. They are most often associated with Carignan for red wines and Cinsault for rosé wines. In the north of the vineyard, the wines produced on shales are fruity, supple and generous, with a fine and well-typed nose, juggling between smoky notes or roasted coffee or even cocoa.
