Domaine Fabulas, Fuit 2020

Our opinion: On the palate, it is rich, smooth, and rather sweet. We have a beautiful expression of the vintage. We distinguish the acidity of Sangiovese in balance with the very fragrant side of Primitivo which brings notes of black fruits. A wine with interesting aging potential.

Serving temperature: 14 – 16 ° C

Le Vigneron

The vines of the Fabulas vineyard are located in the municipality of Pretoro, in the Majella National Park, at an altitude of 602 meters. Even if the sea is only 35km from the domain, its mitigating effect is almost non-existent.

The climate is characterized by a wide temperature range (day – night) which helps to improve the overall quality of the grapes: higher sugar content, reduced acidity degradation, better phenolic composition and increased aromatic characteristics.

We have a deep respect for our land and for the uniqueness of the grape park in which we work. We therefore only use natural products. By respecting and increasing biological diversity, we help improve the quality of water, air, soil, and therefore of our wines.

The wines and their labels represent a journey through the history, traditions and values of Abruzzo and in particular in the Majella National Park, where 7 Women warriors called Majellanes stayed. Each bottle is a portrait of one of the 7 Women and illustrates all the magic of this territory.

L'Appellation

Originally from France, it was first introduced in Piedmont and Trentino-Alto Adige, then more slowly in Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lombardy and now also in other parts of Italy. It seems that the introduction to Italy is attributable to General Emilio de Sambuy who, from Burgundy, is said to have brought him to his domain in Cuneo. On the nose, a Pecorino can be recognized by its scents of tropical fruits, but also by notes of honey and aromatic herbs, with a touch of acidity. Pecorino – not to be confused with the sheep’s milk cheese of the same name, which is sprinkled on pasta – is a grape typical of Marche and Abruzzo.
