Domaine Parés Baltà, 2 Pi R 2018

Our opinion : A magnificent round wine. The perfect pun to mean what stands for this wine!

This 2πr is characterized by complexity, few fruit and a dry side on the nose and mouth ! The spices are quite present.

The dry side typical of Spanish wines will be perfect to accompany certain game or cured meats.

Temperature service : 16°C

To drink : 2020 – 2028

Certification: Certified Organic

The Winemaker

In 1978, Mr. Joan Cusiné Hill took over the cellar. Born in 1917 in Bellvei del Penedès, Mr. Joan comes from a family of winegrowers and, from the age of seven, he helped his father to cultivate the vines and we can say that he never stopped to work. At 80, he still helped his grandsons to take care of certain vineyards.

Her son Joan Cusiné Cusiné started managing Pares Baltà in the 80s and developed his first still white wine “Blanc de Pacs” which is still produced today. In the late 1980s, the first red wine was produced. Since 2000, the management has been in the hands of two grandsons, Joan and Josep Cusiné Carol. They brought new ideas to the business, but above all showed respect for tradition and heritage.

The winemakers, Maria Elena Jimenez and Marta Casas, wives of Joan and Josep Cusiné, have contributed to the consolidation of the philosophy of the Estate.
